The EMISHA project is focused on sharing contemporary innovation and entrepreneurial models developed in Europe. It is focused on creating longer-term wealth and societal benefit through training SA partners on the application of an enterprise program that will provide students and youths with both business and entrepreneurial skills. It will furthermore provide training for innovation office staff within the South African partner universities resulting in stronger support to researchers involved in technology transfer.
The EMISHA work specifically delivers training to the SA partners on running the program, and also in supporting students and young people in the development of entrepreneurial skill sets. Additionally the EMISHA program ensures the sharing of best practice in establishing industry relationships. Industry partnerships are critical, as they can subsequently levered to provide sustainability to the program and make use of the emerging talent pipeline. EMISHA is a Capacity Building project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
